About Us

Welcome to Manchester Transport, where we cover… well, transport in Manchester, UK.

We’re starting this blog as a way to revive the now dead Manchester Buses blog which one of the team, Martin Bryant, used to run.

What do we cover here? Anything about bus, train and tram services around Manchester. We’ll offer a mix of news, personal observations and fun bits and pieces. Manchester Buses died a death after Martin got far too busy to even think about updating it regularly, or more shamefully, even reply to those asking when the blog was coming back. Having a team on board should make things much easier to handle this time around.

Welcome aboard!

The Team

Martin Bryant: A tech news blogger and digital content editor, Martin has always been fascinated by bus services. This is a trait he puts down to his bus driver father sitting him in the cab of a Leyland Olympian at the age of 6. Find him on Twitter or visit his personal website.

James McCollom: Web developer and public transport user, James has a fondness for municipal bus companies – especially hometown Warrington. In 2009 he travelled the length of Britain by bus, but has since got a rail season ticket. Find him on Twitter or visit his personal website.
